🖼️ A Tribute to a Northwest Visionary

Step into a world of color, emotion, and legacy at the Jundt Art Center & Museum for a profound exhibition: “Presence and Absence: The Paintings and Drawings of Ben Frank Moss.” On view Wednesday, May 29, this special showcase celebrates the life and work of Ben Frank Moss (1936–2019) — a Whitworth University graduate and nationally respected artist and educator.

🎓 Artist, Teacher, Legacy

Ben Frank Moss earned his MFA from Boston University and taught at institutions across the country, including Gonzaga University, Fort Wright College, University of Iowa, and Dartmouth College, where he left a lasting impression on generations of students. Despite residing in New Hampshire, Moss returned each summer to Eastern Washington — his spiritual and artistic home — to paint.

The exhibit features paintings and drawings on loan from his family’s private collection, offering a rare and intimate look into the evolution of his work and the landscapes that inspired him.
