On Friday, June 6, 2025, two talented local artists—Bernadette Beeman and Charles Ayars—are stepping into the spotlight at Pottery Place Plus in downtown Spokane for an unforgettable evening of creativity and conversation.

Bernadette Beeman, a North Idaho native, brings nature to life with her stunning hyper-realistic watercolor, pencil, and acrylic works. Her pieces capture the intricate beauty of the Pacific Northwest with breathtaking detail—so real, they almost move. From a background in fine art (and even welding!), Bernadette’s work reflects years of passion, precision, and practice.

Joining her is Liberty Lake’s own Charles Ayars, a retired Presbyterian pastor who traded sermons for snapshots. After 36 years of ministry across six states, Charles turned his lens to America’s backroads. His layered photo collages and nature-inspired abstracts are both nostalgic and mesmerizing—offering fresh perspective on rural landscapes and everyday scenes.

Whether you're a local art collector, a fan of First Friday, or just exploring Spokane’s creative scene, this event is a must-see. Meet both artists in person, hear the stories behind their work, and maybe even take home a piece that speaks to you.
